Céline Simon

Dietitian

  • My name is Céline Simon, and I am a certified Dietitian-Nutritionist. Passionate about nutrition and health prevention, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Dietetics at Institut Paul Lambin in Belgium.
  • I specialize in balanced vegetarian and vegan diets, managing eating disorders (ED), overweight and obesity, re-education toward balanced eating, and managing disorders related to irritable bowel syndrome.
  • I am passionate about nutrition for non-professional athletes, being myself a sports enthusiast, versatile, practicing strength training for about ten years, and a very skilled swimmer.
  • I am also specialized in geriatrics and psychogeriatrics. I support elderly people to promote their health through nutrition, prevent or address risks of malnutrition, help them maintain optimal autonomy for as long as possible, and slow down the physical and cognitive decline associated with aging.
  • My practice revolves around balanced eating: any goal, whatever it may be, is achievable through relevant dietary changes tailored to the patient. The approach starts from existing eating habits, intrinsically linked to our culture, upbringing, food preferences, lifestyle, and family and professional organization, highlights areas inconsistent with balanced nutrition, and corrects these imbalances to work toward the desired goal: weight loss/gain, muscle mass gain, improvement of symptoms of diet-related diseases and food intolerances, better relationship with food, etc.
  • My philosophy is that eating is a profoundly natural act, which should not require the effort imposed by restrictive diets and nutrition charlatans. We should not have to make drastic changes to our eating habits based on restrictive and unbalanced diet models, which only trap us further in the yo-yo diet cycle, in order to regain optimal health or achieve a weight loss goal.
  • The body has nutritional needs that must be met, regardless of your goals, and our role as dietitians is to guide you toward establishing a balanced diet that meets your nutritional needs AND your goals, while simultaneously promoting long-term improvement of your overall health.
  • I also consult in English, which I speak fluently.
